FRESH, the eagerly anticipated new full-length album from the contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, performer, Tye Tribbett, has just entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart in the number one position with his solo debut.
Released on Tuesday, October 19th, FRESH is Tye's third straight #1 Gospel debut, following the precedent established by Victory Live! and then his follow-up smash album, Stand Out! Tye's previous #1 chart-toppers featured his former musical ensemble and gospel choir, Greater Anointing ("G.A.").
A Grammy Award nominated and Stellar Award winning Gospel Artist, Tye has become known as the architect of a Gospel sound that is unique in its musicality and delivery. Called a "wondrous album" by the Washington Post, FRESH is filled with songs that describe God's grace and affirms that redemption and restoration are available to all who believe. The 16 tracks on the CD also provide the listener with a more introspective and personal worship experience.
Tye wrote or co-wrote each song on the new album which features a plethora of powerful music including the first single, "Fresh," which has become a one of the most requested songs at Gospel radio. Other album standouts include "Your Blood" which features Gospel favorite Isaac Caree and "Champion" which features Grammy Award winner Israel. Houghton. His second single, "Keep Me," is already receiving rave reviews and is currently at #25 on Billboard's Gospel singles chart and is positioned to land in the top 20 next week.
Touching many with his musical ministry, FRESH, positions him to step forth boldly with a new message of grace after weathering the storm of change in his personal life and ministry. "Fresh means restored, new creature and it's been my announcement that nothing is the same," Tye declares, "my thinking, my business, my patterns, everything is new and I'm so humbled by the fans response and God's favor in giving me a number one album. To God be the glory for all that He has done."
